HRIC is a 30 months Cooperation Parntership in the field of Sport, supported by the Erasmus plus programme of the European Union. 5 Partners, led by the Italian Volleyball Federation, and coming from 4 different countries (Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Croatia) aim at developing specific materials useful to support young vulnerable people aged 16-30, and suffering from mental breakdown.

Our mission is to enhance the potential by developing specific training methodologies and policy recommendations to foster participation in sport activities and contribute to the improvement of mental health, especially for those particularly affected by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

HRIC project results will be based on a holistic approach grounded in the concepts of psycho-physical and mental health to support the inclusion of vulnerable young people

Our methodology combines Education Through Sport (ETS) and practical/theoretical elements of psychology. This approach will be embodied and multiplied through the creation of innovative profiles of Sport Coaches and social operators who specialize in supporting persons who were already suffering from depression, anxiety, and stress management. The pandemic period has increased and worsened their state, and we aim to support them toward the achievement of psychophysical wellbeing and integration within Sport practice.
